Waltham Man to Kickoff State Rep. Campaign Next Month

Francis Stanton is challenging incumbent John lawn for the 10th Middlesex district seat.

Francis Stanton, a young Waltham man, will officially kickoff his campaign next month.

Stanton, a 24 year-old Republican, is challenging incumbent John Lawn, D-Watertown, for the 10th Middlesex district seat. The seat covers parts of Waltham, Newton and Watertown.

The campaign will officially launch on at 7 p.m., June 6 at Shopper's Cafe in Waltham, according to a press release. The event, during which Stanton will introduce himself to voters, is open to the public.

Editor's Note: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated Stanton is a Democrat. He is a Republican. Also, the event is on June 6, not June 10 as previously reported.

This article says that Stanton is a 24 year-old Democrat, but the first sentence of his bio states "Francis is a young Republican from Waltham, MA."

Hi Tim,

Thanks for catching that. With only two parties, it's easy to transpose them. Just called me biased! (kidding!).

Just to make sure everyone is on the same page, the kick-off is Wednesday, June 6th.

Hope to see you there!
