A 27-year-old Waltham resident has been indicated for the murder of a Maine woman, according several media reports.

A grand jury in Franklin County in Maine indicted Juan Contreras, 27, of Waltham, today on charges that he murdered 81-year-old Grace Burton, of Farmington, Maine, in June of last year, according to the Lewiston Sun Journal.

Authorities have been holding Contreras in Maine since his November arrest, according to the Sun Journal.

Contreras was living close to Burton at the time of the murder, according to the Sun Journal and believe he broke into Burton's home and stabbed her to death.

Contreras was arrested after authorities managed to match his blood to blood found at the murder scene, according to the Maine newspaper.

Contreras has denied murdering Burton saying he was not in the area at the time, according to the Bangor Daily News.
