Waltham Man Allegedly Continues Crime Spree

A Waltham man is facing new car theft related charges.

A Waltham man already charged with a recent string of car break-ins has been arrested again. This time, he is facing charges for stealing cars and their contents, according to the Boston Globe.

Anthony Taranto, 27, of 78 Harvard St., is now facing charges for auto theft, breaking and entering in the nighttime, one count of larceny under $250 and one count of larceny over $250, according to the Globe.

Officers arrested Taranto again on Jan. 20 after they spotted him under the dashboard of a car in the driveway of a home, according to the Globe. Taranto was arraigned in Waltham District Court on Jan. 22.

Three days before his second arrest, Taranto was released from the Middlesex County jail in Cambridge, Waltham Police Lt. Joseph Brooks told the Globe. Officers arrested Taranto on Jan. 10 for the car break-ins.
