Waltham License Commission Member Leaving Board
Waltham mayor says license commission member won't impact proposal for additional licenses.
Waltham License Commission member Robert Hardiman is leaving the three-member board, according to Mayor Jeanette McCarthy.
Hardiman's departure comes amid the city's dsicussions on whether to issue additional liquor licenses. McCarthy said the departure will not impact the process for deciding on new licenses.
McCarthy told Waltham Patch that Hardiman is moving to Hingham and that she is already interviewing candidates to replace him. Hardiman said he will remain on the board until his replacement takes over, according to McCarthy.
Chairman Wayne Brasco Sr. and Kenneth W. Summner are the two remaining members of the commission.
Hardiman could not immedately be reach on Thursday. Potential applicants can apply for the commission opening on the city Web site.
