Waltham Arrest Logs, June 30 - July 1: Assault, Weapon Arrests
The following information was supplied by the Waltham Police department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, June 30
Michael Collins, 22, of 101 Central St., arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
James Aquaro, 21, of Shirley, arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and a passing violation.
Maria Montoya, 29, of Brighton, arrested and charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one count of assault and battery, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and a warrant charge for assault and battery.
Sunday, July 1
Marvin Orellana, 34, of 32 Floyd St., arrested on warrant charges for witness intimidation, driving with a suspended license and threatening to commit a crime.
Franklin Mentenegro, 30, of 782 Moody St., arrested and charged with not having a vehicle inspection sticker, furnishing a false name or Social Security number to police and two warrant charges for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and one count of not having a vehicle inspection sticker.

Whats going on this summer with all the assaults. The hot weather making people want to kick some butt or what? Hey its just the police log making me wonder..lol

My belief is that it has nothing to do with summer. Assaults are routinely reported to police throughout the year. It is likely one of the most common charges.

I suppose your right...It is a year round thing. Just seemed a little more chaotic this season. Enjoy yours. Thanks
