We asked, you answered and we received dozens of entries to our Pet Halloween Costume Contest. That left us with a tall task: having to choose the finalists so you can vote for your favorite! Our editors spent hours going through all the entries and selected their 10 favorites.

Voting opens today, so, scroll through our photos, pick your choice to win and tell us which in the comments section by indicating the picture number and the pet’s name. One vote per person, please.

Voting will end at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2.

The winner will be announced Monday morning, Nov. 5. Oh, and we’ve added a little incentive: the winning submission will receive a $50 gift card plus bragging rights.

Nicole, yes, we winnowed down the contestants to 10. Hated to do that, but makes the voting easier to handle. Also, some wonderful dog-owner uploaded his/her dog to the contest, but entry was closed earlier this week. We've now moved to the voting phase. We have until 5 p.m. Friday to vote, which will be counted by the number of comments mentioning the animal name/photo number. Questions? Leave 'em here.
