Much has been said lately about whether Waltham is welcoming to potential new businesses that want to open a location here, especially after the recent cancellation of plans for a Boloco burrito shop.

Some Waltham Patch commenters have argued the city is hosptile to new businesses while City Councilor Robert Logan has said Waltham is business friendly.

The irony that the present building being built now on spec at the corners of Lexington Street & Trapelo Road could have had three (3) tenants including an Asian restaurant was just so unnecessary.
Waltham is a very desirable growing major anchor city of the Route 128 Arch and NEEDS to respond accordingly and encouragingly.
The most recent nine (9) months to one (1) year record shows
a very mixed and not so successful track record.
