Seven Waltham residents plan to run the Boston Marathon on April 16 shooting to raise $4.8 million for cancer research.
The runners will compete as members of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Marathon Challenge Team, according to a Dana Farber press release.
All proceeds raised wll go to the Claudia Adams Barr in Innovative Basic Cancer Reasearch Proram which funds early stages of cancer research.

Those running are: John Caruso, Jr., Timothy Cimeno, Corey Kazak, Catherine Newton, Justin Temple, Jamie Tomc, and Amy Vautour.
