Serious Car Crash At Waltham High School; 2 Taken to Hospital

A car went into the woods at Waltham High School.

 

UPDATED, 9:57 p.m.: A MedFlight helicopter landed at Waltham High School and transported another patient to the hospital Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston.

UPDATED, 9:40 p.m.: One patient has been extricated and taken to the hospital, while a second one has been removed as well. A MedFlight helicopter is on its way to the school to transport the second patient.

Waltham firefighters are responding to a serious car crash at Waltham High School, according to Patch correspondent Stephen Walsh and Twitter reports. 

A car went into the woods leaving one woman trapped, according to Twitter user @matredsoxfan2. Firefighters requeted a MedFlight helicopter, but were told it was 35 minutes away. Instead, at least one ambulance is responding to the scene, according to scanner reports.

Wow! Amazing what our Firefighters and EMT's go thru. Saving lives or at least trying.
There should be a day for E.M.T'S and Firefighters. Just as a show of appreciation for what they do. When they have to do it. Maybe there is a day and i dont know about it.But if there is not .There SHOULD BE. They are just there to Help the helpless.No More No Less.
