Power outages have struck parts of the city, according to Twitter reports.

The Walton Street area has lost power, according to City Councilor Kenneth Doucette. Also, power has ceased in the Island neighborhood on the Newton line, according to Anthony Clemente, a Waltham High School student. 

Waltham Police tell Patch that NStar is working to resolve the outages. A manhole fire earlier in the day possibly caused the outages, police said.
