The Waltham Islmaic Society has completed its purchase of the former New Landing restaurant and bar which it plans to turn into a mosque, according to Boston.com.

Now, the group hopes to complete planned renovations within four months. The renovations, estimated to cost $150,000 are intended to bring the building up to state building codes.

Currently, the Islamic group operates out of 16 Park Place but has been searching for a better place to worship.
