Pedestrian Struck By Car at Waltham High School

The accident occurred at around 7 a.m.

 

A pedestrian was struck by a car at the entrance to Waltham High School at around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, according to Waltham Police's School Resource Officer Kristin Tracey.

A 50-year old woman out for a morning walk was struck at the intersection of Lexington Street and the high school access road, Tracey said on her Twitter account. The victim was reportedly taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital, said Matthew Carter on his Twitter account. Carter tweets police and fire incidents. 

The access road was closed for for a few minutes as Waltham Police and firefighters worked the scene. The road has now reopened.

Was the driver a Waltham High School student or staff member? I hope that the lady who was hit will be alright.
