One person was sent to the hospital Thursday afternoon after a one-car rollover on Route 128 southbound, just after the Route 20 Weston/Waltham exit, State Police said. 

The accident occurred just after 2 p.m. According to scanner and Twitter reports, Waltham and Weston fire departments used the Jaws of Life to extract the injured person, who was then transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

State Police did not know anything further about the injured person's injuries. 

The accident backed up traffic on Route 128 south for about an hour.
