Need A Place To Watch Tebow Face Brady In Waltham?
New sports-themed restaurant opening on Moody Street
As of tomorrow, diners will have one more place to watch Tom Brady take on Tim Tebom tomorrow.
Stadium Sports Bar & Grill, months after announcing it would coming to Moody Street in Waltham, is opening tomorrow, according to Regional Manager Paul Marknikovic. The new location will open at 1 p.m., he said.
Then, the new eatery, which replaces another restaurant on Moody Street, will hold its official grand opening on Friday, Jan. 20 at 5 p.m., according to Marknikovic.
The chain restaurant, which plans already has locations in Quincy and South Boston, will serve standard bar and grill fare.
As for parking, which can be problematic on Moody Street, municipal lots are available on Spruce, Walnut and Crescent streets and street parking is free after 6 p.m.
Stadium's opening is just one of the new restaurants that have recently opened or are planning sites. Among the proposed resaurants, Five Guys, a second Panera Bread locations, Chipotle, Boloco and Moe's Southwest Grill.

I am glad to welcome the Stadium to Waltham and Moody Street's Restaurant Row. This new establishment represents a major upgrade at that location, and is another example of the many recent positive developments Dowtown. I'll be watching the game at home, but I'll be sure to drop by for a meal sometime soon! Good Luck and Best Wishes! Oh, and GO PATS!!!

Indeed this is great news. Always better to have a space filled rather than empty! What else would you like to see on Moody Street?

Like everyone, I wish we could get some more small retail stores in the mix. The days of anchor stores in downtown areas are long gone, but it would be nice to have a toy store, a candy store, a bakery, a Hallmark store, and other such establishments. However we (City Government) don't get to decide what comes to Waltham. All we can do is provide and maintain the infrastructure to provide a desirable location for businesses to locate.

I would like to see another coffee shop, an independent one. With the exception of Cafe On The Common, the city lacks independent coffee shops. It would bring more foot traffic to the area!
