Vehicle Found In Water off Woerd Avenue in Waltham
No one in the car found in the Charles River.
Waltham Police are investigating the discovery earlier today, Sunday, Dec. 16, of a vehicle submerged in the Charles River near a boat launching ramp.
According to numerous Twitter reports, the car was unoccupied when it was found this morning.
The location, across the street from 48 Woerd Ave. at the intersection of Cove Street and just off Crescent Street on the Waltham/Newton line, is the Woerd Avenue Boat Access Facility where trailers are backed into the water.

The boat ramp on Woerd Avenue is not Purgatory Cove.

A little inside info - that car was reported stolen back in 1980. Its been there for a little bit. Not sure if its true or not, but lets just say it came from a reliable source.
