UPDATED, 12:30 p.m.: NStar is now reporting 3,426 customers are without power. Overall, damage appears to have been relatively minor. Crews are fanned out through the city examining arcing wires, fixing utility poles and clearing downed trees. 

UPDATED, 9:20 a.m., Oct. 30: Good morning! As of 9:20 a.m., 3,123 Nstar customers were without power. All flooding has been cleared, but power outages still remain in the following neighborhoods: Clinton Street, Riverview Avenue, Crestview Road, Goldencrest AvenueWheelock Road, Prospect Hill Road, Lincoln Woods Road, Leslie Road, Trapelo Road from Smith Street to the Lincoln Line. 

UPDATED, 6:50 p.m.: Flooding has been reported in the area of 481 Lexington St., according to the city website. Traffic signals at High and Newton Streets are down as well as at Lexington and Schools streets, according to the city website. 

Also, many roads are closed, here is a full list.

UPDATED, 5 p.m.: Waltham Patch editor Ryan Grannan-Doll just returned from the Moody Street area. Minor flooding was spotted in several places and crews were at the intersection of Maple Street and Moody Street removing a downed tree from the road. Also, police and city crews were blocking the small around on Moody Street iin front of the Brasco Funeral Home where a uility pole reportedly snapped. Many businesses are still open, despite the poor conditions. 

Right now, NStar is reporting 1,528 customers are without power. 

UPDATED. 4:15 p.m.: Newton Street at the Maristhill nursing home is blocked because a tree fell in the road. Also, NStar is reporting 1,341 customers are without power in Waltham. 

UPDATED, 3:12 p.m.: Twitter users are reporting power is out on Ash Street and Day Street. 

UPDATED, 2:50 p.m.: Twitter users are reporting power outages on Summit Street. 

UPDATED, 2:37 p.m.: NStar is reporting 74 customers without power. Also, wires have been reported down on Vernon Street, according to Twitter user @matredsoxfan2. A transformer fire was reported at 34 Fiskes Avenue and a tree full into a house and onto a car at 510 Waverly Oaks Rd. 

UPDATED, 2 p.m.: Waltham City Hall will close at 2 p.m. Also, reports of trees felling wires have been received for Townsend Street, Sterling Street and Central Street, according to Twitter user @matredsoxfan2 who tweets fire scanner reports. He also reported a tree falling onto a house roof on Worcester Lane. 

UPDATED, 12:28 p.m.: Waltham has opened an emergency shelter at the former Bright school on Grove Street.

UPDATED, 11:03 a.m.: Both post offices are open. RTN Federal Credit Union will close at 12:30 p.m. and Belmont Savings Bank will close at 1 p.m. TD Bank branches will remain open

UPDATED, 9:18 a.m.: Waltham trash pick-up service will continue today, according to Waltham Consolidated Public Works Director Michael Chiasson.

I am hearing a lot of police sirens in the Warrendale area (3:20pm). Not sure what is going on.

called about a tree down on my house and the wires Nobody comes. Maybe they want to wait till more damage. beal rd . Real response called around 400pm
