How To Dump Your Christmas Tree in Waltham

Put your tree out on the curb as soon as possible.

The city is now picking up Christmas trees and wreaths for permanent disposal -- but follow the directions below!

The city will pick up in trees in three weeks following Dec. 25, according to Waltham Consolidated Public Works Director Michael Chiasson. However, ornaments, lights, stands and plastic bags must first be removed from trees and wreaths. Wreaths containing metal rims will not be taken.

Trees and wreaths will be picked up when crews are in your area, according to Chiasson. So, put your items out on the curb as soon as possible.

Could you clarify whether you meant that the city will be picking up Christmas trees & wreaths for the next 3 weeks or did you really mean IN 3 weeks?

No clarification needed. The city is currently picking up trees. The started after Dec. 25, and plan to continue for the three weeks after that date.
