Hearing Monday For Proposed Panera Bread In Waltham
Panera Bread is planning a second location in Waltham.
Waltham City Councilors, on Monday, June 25, will take up Panera Bread's psoposal for a new store and accompanying drive-thru at its proposed second Waltham location, according to the council agenda.
The hearing begins at 8 p.m. at Waltham City Hall.
The company, which already has a location on Lexington Street, is looking to expand into the former Main Street Ford site in which Chipotle and others businesses plan to locate.
Specifically, the company get approval for two special permits, one to operate a fast food restaurant and the other to operate a drive thru.

I like Panera Bread Company. I visit the North Waltham site frequently. Their food is healthier than the MacDonalds next door. We should have more restaurants in the west end of town.

Do we need two? Waltham has a nice piece of land up there and they want to put in another Panera Bread Store.!. Every where you turn is a fast food resturant or eatery. A drive-thur! Pretty soon it will be not nessasary to leave our houses or cars to live!
