A school official requested the crosswalk to help students cross Elm and Benefit streets to the McKenna Playground, according to the Traffic Commission minutes. The school recently relocated to the 169 Elm St. location.
Four new crosswalks will also be installed at the four approaches of the intersection of Banbury Avenue and Berkley Street, according to the Traffic Commission minutes.
