Five Guys Burgers Coming To Waltham; Panera Planning Second Location In City
Plans are in the works for two new Waltham eateries.
Jonesing for a burger or sandwich?
Well, if things going go according to the plans of two companies, Waltham residents will have more chances to feed their fixes.
Five Guys burger chain and Panera Bread have both announced, via their official Twitter accounts, that they plan on opening locations in Waltham.
Panera Bread tweeted, in response to user BrandNewWatch, “Yes, we have new drive-thru bakery-cafe planned for Waltham, MA. No opening date yet, stay tuned!”
Yesterday, Five Guys tweeted to Waltham Patch, “We are planning to open a Five Guys in Waltham, MA late next year!”
Neither company specified where they would be opening.
Currently, Panera has another location on Lexington Street and the nearest Five Guys location is in Dedham.
Stay tuned to Patch for updates to this story.

Can anyone confirm that City Council approved a drive through for the Waltham Ford site? That is separate permitting I believe.
