Waltham Fitness Center Gets Earlier Hours
Fitness center gets more hours, after its initial request was denied.
The Waltham City Council has granted Work Out World's request for extended hours and it will now open at 5 a.m.
The License & Franchise Committee recommended the council approve the new hours. Prior to Monday, Dec. 10, the fitness center's hours were 6 a.m. - 12 a.m.
The fitness center, located on on Foundry Avenue, had previously made a request to remain open 24 hours, only to be denied over concerns over traffic and noise. The company later filed a similar request to open one hour earlier at 5 a.m. and garnered community support for the move.
