A woman has been taken to the hospital after being struck by a car on Hartwell Street at South Street, according to scanner and Twitter reports.
The woman was reportedly alert and conscious, according to scanner reports.
Waltham's 911 Emergency Dispatch Center advised motorists, through Twitter, to avoid the area as police investigate the crash.
