This year's annual Statewide park Clean up day will be held on April 16th. The event is organized by the  The Department of Conservation and Recreation and has been an annual event since 2007. Each year thousands of volunteers head to the parks, beaches and trails to help clean up debris and assist organizers in routine maintenance projects.

Last year over 4,000 volunteers helped improve 69 parks by planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and by collecting over 52 tons of trash.
