Gore Place recognized by Boston Area Gleaners Inc.
- Earlier this week, Gore Place received a certificate of recognition from Boston Area Gleaner's Inc. for its contribution of produce in the 2010 season.
- Farmer Scott Clarke accepted the certificate which stated that volunteers from Boston Area Gleaners had gleaned over 5,000 pounds of produce from Gore Place last year. The donation went to local food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters. According to Scott Clarke, “We are happy to be able to provide fresh, organic vegetables to people who might not otherwise have access to high quality produce. It’s a good collaboration”.
