Historic New England’s landscape staff are looking for volunteers to help in the Lyman Estate gardens on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to noon, April to October.

Join Historic New England's landscape staff to assist in the overall care of the gardens at this historic site. Work side by side with staff to care for and learn about the gardens and landscape, share your knowledge, and explore new areas. Tasks include weeding the gardens, dividing plants, planting new material, removing invasive species, and other cleanup activities. The group meets each week at the peach wall garden at 9:00 a.m.

The Lyman Estate landscape is enjoyed by more than 2,400 garden enthusiasts, bird watchers, and casual strollers. The grounds are also a key component of the functions business that welcomes more than 15,000 guests to the site each year. To get involved, please call 617-994-5900 ext. 6321.
